2 stars Well, this is not a bad album at all, it has got some chops that keep it going. But overall, it's not really interesting, as the songs don't seem to stick to my mind and I keep forgetting to play the album. Well, ofcourse, that might be a personal problem, though I normally don't suffer from that kind of "incapacaties". It's just too generic on many occassions. But my MAIN problem is the constant citing. Why doesn't anyone mention this up here? Now I feel urged to do so! Just like the ending of the second song, Enigmatic Mission, is straight out of Steve Vai's repertoire, all over the album tunes are borrowed from other musical outputs of the past. It may all be meant to honour their heroes, but I find it to be rather cheap actually. I'll wait for these competent musicians to start to really use their brains to the core and write memorable tunes themselves.
