5 stars Albums I consider to be a progressive masterpiece are ones that are groundbreaking (ex. In The Court Of The Crimson King, King Crimson), a huge turning point for the artist (ex. Kid A, Radiohead), impact on your life (different for everyone) and/or just completely awesome (different for everyone), Autobahn are all 4 for me. Even though my first introduction to "true" progressive music was Can, and my first progressive album I bought was Soon Over Babaluma, Kraftwerk and Autobahn were the ones that changed it all for me ("it" as in my musical taste). Albums with only 4 or 5 songs amazed me, so this album caught my attention right away. After downloading it and listening to it, I was kind of stunned, I never thought I could like an album with such little amount of lyrics, or music for that fact. Autobahn will always be one of my top 5 favorite progressive albums.
