5 stars Well after seeing the many reviews and the structures of this Album by the beard i could take it anymore i had to get this album so i had it special ordered and BAM the next day it was mine. and GAh i'm so glad i have this CD cause this baby is right up there with snow as it features a very neo-prog style of spock's beard with its melodic punch to them but it also features the heaviness that spock's beard manages to bring out in every album no matter how melodic they can get. One thing is for sure you can definitely feel some old prog influence with some YES, GENESIS and especially GENTLE GIANT for the vocals that is. Of course SPock's beard has always been the masters of great epics and both AT THE END OF THE DAY and THE GREAT NOTHING are probably in my opinion two of the best epics Spock's beard has ever done as not only do they feature great muscianship with the dueling keyboard and hammond solos but great rhythm by MEROS and D'VIRGILIO especially on these two tracks and plus Alan once again amazes us all with his great guitar abilities as he has some awesome memorable stuff going on in these tracks. But not only is the music good the lyrics are very well behaved and plus you gotta love the vocal harmonies OOOOH MAN they sound awesome. But hey you can't leave out the short tracks because even though SB does great with epics THEY DO COOL STUFF WITH SHORT tracks too. REVEALTION and THOUGHTS pt. 2 are both great rockers and of course i think that THOUGHTS PT. 2 is much better than the first thoughts. ALL ON A SUNDAY is a very happy song in fact if you want a song that will lift you spirits this is the song and its so freakin awesome. GOODBYE TO YESTERDAY is another great spock's beard ballad as it is up there with tracks like JUNE and the softer sections of SNOW. This is a definite FIVE STAR ALBUM as it portrays SB at their finest trust me if you looooooooove the beard this cd most be in your collection as you have to be completely stupid not to have it in your collection.....actually its kinda embarassing...
