2 stars This album leaves more or less Asia as a duo Downes/Payne. This time they tried to do a more progressive album compared to the heavy "Aria". Seems that they didn't succeed very well...

The opener "Into The Arena" is a fine instrumental, but considering that it replaces at the last minute the gorgeous "Ginger" (an acoustic piece with Steve Howe on guitar removed due to his departure from the band) it's really a pity. "Arena" and "Two Sides Of The Moon" are two nice pop/rock tracks. "The Day Before The War" is maybe the most progressive work you can find from Asia. And the closing track "Bella Nova" is another fine instrumental. But except those few songs, nothing much really of interest: "Heaven", "Never", "Falling" and "Words" are insipid cheesy songs, and the other songs on the album are just average.

Rating: 66/100
