5 stars As I said elsewhere, this is a WEIRD album. Goes with a 'smoke' if you know what I mean. Very dark/brooding sound, something to contemplate and be drawn into. Stange, eerie sounds provided by Brian Eno on keyboards/synthesisers, and those sentiments echoed immaculately by the voice of Bryan Ferry. This was the group at their most experimental/progressive phase, and it's not nearly as accessible as 'Avalon' which is far closer to 'easy listening' type music.

One of the songs is a tribute to inflatable rubber dolls that some sad people have sex with!

It really is 'art rock'/drug rock, a mini-trip, and the galloping horses at the end of the album is 'something else', like at least '4 horsemen of the apocalypse' fading mirage like, ominously into and out of view in the desert, and rushing past you. Great effects. Give it a spin if you want something different.
