5 stars Critical Mass is surely band's most mature work up to date. Every second of the album reveals great effort invested in its composing/recording. The lineup is finally stabile so practically nothing could go wrong here.and luckily it didn't. This CD is full of awesome melodic prog; the approach is less heavy than before but I don't think that someone would mind much. Yes, songs are not so heavy or so metal like on some previous albums, but they are BAUTIFUL instead! Critical Mass may not be their best album (but it's really close to Extinct Instinct) but is surely one on a highest emotional level! All eight songs deserve highest recommendations but my personal favorites are: Echoes Of Life and Falling Away.
