3 stars Well, this time period of Rush has never been my favorite. ROLL THE BONES is a motley assemblage of a few real great songs and a bunch of kind of filler tracks. This is a very upfront album with most of the good work at the start and it fizzles about halfway through into borderline acceptable Rush music. I would say it falls somewhere just below GRACE UNDER PRESSURE and just above PRESTO in my overall judgement of Rush music. It is VERY far below things like 2012 and FAREWELL TO KINGS, but VERY far above TEST FOR ECHO and RUSH.
