3 stars This one is the first and the only official live document of ZAO, the first "child" of French zeuhl-legend Magma, recorded in 1976 and released in 2003. Sax player Yochk'o Jeff Seffer had just left the band and therefore we can hear four-piece-band here (Francois Cahen - kb, Didier Lockwood - vl, Gerard Prevost -bg, Jean-My Troung - d). In my oppinion the sound of recording is maybe too "plane" as compared to earlier studio recordings... but still solid listenable zeuhlish jazzrock. There are two tracks missing on earlier records - Improcol (19-minute improcomposition of the whole band) and Jumelles (electric violin solo tune by Didier Lockwood). My personal fave seems to be maybe "the most fragile" tune called Sadie. In spite of prefering to listen these four first records this live is still worth to check. 3,5 stars really.
