5 stars PALLAS is a band that I have recently discovered, and I must say, that they are totally blowing me away. I have listened to "The Cross and the Crucible" at least 15 times now, and do not tire of it. The songs are well-written and arranged, the instrumentaion is phenomenal (lots of mellotron and bass pedals) to add to the power of their sound, and the songs have substance, both musically and lyrically. I actually consider this CD to be amongst my all-time favorites of all-time, and that is a hard list to crack !!!! Bravo PALLAS, for a tremendous recording of inspired progressive/heavy music. PS ... I rarely review albums, however when I do, it is because I strongly recommend it to others (to discover for themselves)
