4 stars First of all, this album is not prog rock at all, so any prog lover will absolutely hate this album. The music is pure early 80s synthpop... but it is good synthpop. Some songs are fast paced and commercial, some others are slow paced and more emotional. Not an excellent addition to any prog music collection, simply an excellent addition to any pop music collection.

"Talk Talk" and "Today" are the two pop singles of the album - perfect examples of the synthpop of the early 80s. "The Party's Over" and "Have You Heard The News ?" are slower songs with a more emotional (even sad) melody. "Mirror Man" - the first single out of the album - is a mix between the two styles. "Another Word" is probably the weakest song on the album - the melody is horrible and the lyrics silly - if you want to listen to better stuff written by Paul Webb, check "Out Of Season" written with Beth Gibbons (a gem). "Candy" which closes the album is a beautiful ballad.

Rating: 88/100 (excellent)
