3 stars First of all, being a huge fan of the 70' area of Yes, i must say that this album is not as bad as it looks. I definitly say that if this album didn't came as popular as it became, i would't have put a ear on the band, and i don't think i would have wanted to go and listen to their way better and insteresting catalog of the 70's. So for me, Owner Of A Lonely Heart was a starting point. What that album is for me, after having listen to all of their album, is well dam record and produced pop oriented Yes record. I really like the songs Changes, It can Happen, Leave It and of course the piece of resistence: Heart. So if i feel to listen to something a little lither, i prefer a Yes pop album to all the crap that is out there. In my point of view, Yes as done way more crappy album than this one and with Steve Howe on guitar non the less (Ognion and Open "Close" your Eyes "Ear") + I prefer 90125 way better than the Genesis comercial discs or worse... GTR and ASIA. So o.k. 90125 comercial but i still feel the Yes sound on it and the production is remarkeble for it's time. Nothing in those days sounded like Owner Of A Lonely Heart. In conclusion, i still think that this album is what made Yes carry on after that for our listening pleasure, especially the last couple of tours.
