4 stars i can't believe that this LP is not among the Eloy key studio albums... it is absolutely fantastic..my favourite one.. it's like Floyd on speed... Randow is amazing, beautiful drumming, so is Jansen.. both of them are very solid rhythm section upon which Eloy built these 5 atmospheric anthems.. bands like Ozric owe a lot to this album...

anyways, Floating can be considered an Eloy classic among all albums released from 1973 to 1982..it's a shame though that the band - and by that i mean Frank Bornemann - failed to stabilize its line up because i believe that they could continue releasing real gems..

my favourite song is The Light From Deep Darkness without any other sec of the rest of the album be considered redundant...

P.S. minor flaw which i believe holds for all Eloy LPs, the mediocre lyrics...
