Mr. Mustard
2 stars With their horrible first two albums out of the way, The Beatles come back fresh with ideas to create an album completely written by them. The overall style and sound has not changed; these guys are still churning out love-ridden pop numbers one after the other. But at least you can sense the songwriting skills are improving. Songs like 'A Hard Day's Night,' 'Can't Buy Me Love' and 'I Should Have Known Better' are all classics and catchy as anything. There is nothing at all complex about any of this, but you can tell it's a step in the right direction.
