5 stars This is not much of an official albums, as it is composed of outtakes from Up The Downstair (that in fact would be much more deserving of making the album than Synesthesia), but I simply can't find anything wrong with this album, except it is too short.

Don't expect to get huge rushes from this music (except for Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape, which could be my all time favorite instrumental), but this is great music to just chill out to. It is somewhat of a shame that we only get to hear Wilson's voice in The Joke's On You, but the guitars and organ shine in the absence of vocals, with some additional electronic swishing effects. Takes influences from bands like Pink Floyd and progesses them further.

Surprisingly well-produced, and seemingly perfect music. 5/5 for me.
