SPECTRAL MORNINGS

When Genesis split in 1977 Steve Hackett took the imagination , creativity , artistic integrity,atmospherics , variegatedness and his incredible but subtle guitar playing talents leaving the remainder as guys with a background in prog and a huge appetite for commercial success.This album then has the elements that are sorely missing from And Then There Were Three and Duke. This is essential just from the viewpoint of the variety of styles Hackett throws out. There are some weak spots rather than tracks but the last track is a mindblower.
