2 stars Can`t really understand the high ratings for this album. If someone showed me its songs without telling me what was the business, I would say, without hesitate, that they were from any of the 7 last Rush albums. When I first met Rush, the album Signals was beeing released and, since then, I've purchased all past albuns and every new release. My opinion (I think that's said in a comment from another reviewer), is very clear: "Old Rush = good oldies; New Rush = bad news". Reaching the top with Moving Pictures, there's a clear decadence album by album. The reviews from Clockwork Angels and the high ratings made me believe in something really new. Really quite better than tha last ones, but still more of the same stuff. Lack of good melodies, annoyingly noisy instruments, lousy mixing. The digital era destroyed much of the music, Rush included. Put a new and and old Rush album and compare the clearness of the insrtuments of the old ones. You can almost touch every single note is played. In the recent ones you can`t scarcely distiguish wheter the harmony hold minor or major tones (in fact, 99% of the newer songs are predominantely minor...) . Can`t say it`s disappointing because it was already expected.
