3 stars I don't like Fish solo-career except for Vigil and Internal Exile... Believe, I tried but I still don't get it... More than Prog Fish career is Art Rock and Internal Exile match perfectly with that definition.

I like Internal Exile maybe for personal reasons -a former girlfriend loves this album- but musically is very irregular. Shadowplay (5*) is an excellent prog-alomost-celtic piece with a monumental works on vocals, same as Credo (4*) but I don't like the lyrics... Just Good Friends (3*) is a tasteless ballad maybe useful to catch women during a saturday night and Favourite Stranger (3*) has something special in the rhythmical base -very latino IMO- but it's a regular song. Lucky (3*) got something special too and it's a great expample of a half-popish half-art song. Another forgettable ballad, Dear Friend (2*) what a lonely guy, for Christ sake!! THe, one of the best songs of the album, the dark and mysterious Tongues (4*) another great example of ehat Fish can do with his wonderful voice. Then Internal Exile (4*) half poppish, half celtic... even when it sounds very simple, the arramgement sounds perfect and the last part reminds me Fish in their best moments with Marillion. At last Something In The Air (1*) an electronic cover totally unnecessary...

Well, 3.75* to a regular album with some interesting songs but very far of what I think Fish can do as the brilliant lyricist and musician he is...
