![]() The best songs in this album are "Pictures of a city", "Cadence and cascade", " In the wake of Poseidon " and "Cat food". In comparison, "The devil's triangle" sounds like Fripp and Sinfield were thinking "How we fill the rest of the time of recording for this album?" . This is a noisy song which sounds like an arrangement of Holst`s "Mars" from his work called "The Planets". The best things in this noisy song are the melloton sounds played by Fripp, but the long duration of this song makes them sound boring. Michael Giles played the drums very well in this album, like he did in the first album and in the "McDonald and Giles" album recorded later with Ian McDonald. His drums playing is maybe the best thing in this album.
