4 stars During 1968 INDEXI saw a major line-up change. Instead of departed Kisic, Miroslav Saranovic stepped in as a more competent and stronger drummer, who had a real "rock" sense of rhythm; and more importantly, they added a permanent keyboard player in the person of Kornelije Kovac (who was to found later the famous KORNI GRUPA). Kovac brought a classical composition training and contributed to two songs for this EP. "Ako jednom budes sama" ("If You Are Lonesome One Day") is an eclectic song featuring piano, brass, fuzzed guitar and overall R'n'B feeling. But, "Jutro ce promijeniti sve" ("The Morning Will Change Everything") marks a model proto-progressive song. Featuring organ intro, strong melodic bass hook, easy and jazzy drumming, wonderful fuzzed guitar solo by Kovacevic that brings shivers down the spine, strings and brass section, and above all an expressive vocal by Popovic. Altogether with several tempo changes and a minor-key melancholy sensation, this song remains one of the best ever made, not only in INDEXI catalogue, but in entire Yugoslavia's music scene. As an oddity, it is worth mentioning that INDEXI performed this song at Pop Festival in Opatija 1968 and won the third place! Finally, the third song on this release (actually the opener on the A side) is "Drugi covjek" ("Another Man"), which was penned by the original founder and rhythm guitarist I. Arnautalic. It is an uptempo beat track with high-pitched organ and some strange Kovacevic's guitar sounds. It contains another "tribute to" the Fab Four in the shape of an "inserted" imitation of the "All You Need Is Love" chorus. Excellent 7" release that broke ground for further "progressive" development of the Bosnian/Yugoslavian legends.
