INFERNO

When I started my Italian Symphonic Prog CD collection, that was a album I wasn't too sure about, should I buy it??? Thanks to the praise the album got in PA and also, thanks to the guy at my local progressive record shop who said very good thing about it, I brought it.

My first two or three listening of the album didn't do nothing to me, sure it was good but having around 40 Italian Symphonic Prog CD, I had a lots of other album that i prefer. Since I really whanted to understand it properly, I put it in my IPod and started my listening. It's been almost two month now that I purchase the album and I can easily say that, not only I put this album in my top 10 best albums of Italian Symphonic Prog ever, it's also in my top 10 best albums of Prog Rock in general !!!!!

If you have only one CD to buy in the Italian Symphonic Prog genre, with maybe the first Quella Vecchia Locanda or Per Un Amico by PFM, this is the one to get, it has the masterpiece tag all over it, from the first note to the last !!!!!

The album starts up with the sound of a gong, to be fallowed by a church organ. When the vocals starts you can ear harpichord. But the beauty and force behind the album is what come next, the keyboards, mainly, a piano, a mini-moog and hammond organ witch never seems to amaze me everytime I listen to the album, INCREDIBLE !!!!!. This album is a keyboards lover dreams :)

So don't waste your time and get this masterpiece you won't regret your purchase, it may take at least 5 or 6 listen to get it completly, but it worth every minutes ;)

So IMO, 5 Stars, Essential: a masterpiece of progressive music, italian or not !
