3 stars This performance took place one day after the Jacksonville concert. The sound quality of this (double) cd is much better than the Jacksonville cd and the playing is more inspired. This incarnation is said to be more of a jam band, and that may be true. That doesn't mean however that they didn't make some interesting, challenging music. Because they did. The jamming side is at it's worst in Groon, where the drum solo is just too long (10 minutes). It is at it's best in the jazzy rendition of Schizoid Man and in Earthbound. But this version of the band was also capable of more structured music, as in Cirkus. This version is one of the best I heard and in Pictures of a City. All in all a good addition for the Crimson collector.
