5 stars It is difficult to describe how phenomenal this album is. The subtle balance between its lyricism and complexity becomes increasingly apparent with each consecutive listen. Allan's phrasing and musical sensibility are completely unique, unexpected and beautiful. This is not an album that sinks in within a few spins. Like many of the greatest albums, this one takes some effort on the part of the listener to fully grasp but the dividends are well worth the time invested.

It's hard to pick out any highlights in this album because it is brilliant throughout. "City Nights" is a great opener, followed by "Secrets", featuring a hauntingly beautiful vocal part by Rowanne Mark. This sets the stage for the body of the album, a showcase of stunning instrumental compositions. The album closes with "Endormorph", featuring a vocal part by Craig Copeland. Both the vocal parts frame the album perfectly and simply leave you wanting more.

I couldn't recommend this album any higher. It's one of my all-time favorite albums and it never seems to get old. An essential mastepiece of progressive music.
