5 stars First time I was not able to hear the whole thing. It was strange and give me stange feelings about it. Second time... same thing. Third... etc etc etc

The only thing I understand how to hear this masterpiece was when I noticed that this strange feeling was not going to disapear. This feeling, cold in my stomache, WAS Comus acting. That was the whole experiencing happening. I had to pass through it.

And it was in a night, on the beach, with full moon. I never though I would more sacre in my life. To hear songs about death, killers, rape, gore, with the attraction of a gentleman, almost as if Hanniball himslef have put this album to play.

That is what this album is about: our fetiche with the gore. We struggle to say "I dont want to hear that!", but, deep inside, we do. We want. We want to see what happen. That what this album is all about. Played with a great hability by the musicians, that experience is alive and can easily be proved by the same reaction everyone have listening to it: from the denial and not comprehension to the full deliver people made to the music.

Comus' First Utterance is not music: its a living experiment.

You should try. If you can take it.
