5 stars To me it is a masterpiece. Back in 74' is was a groundbreaking album. To the newer generation it might not seem that way since now days we have samplers, sequencers, DAW's, Virtual Synthezisers and Digital Recorders the size of a pack of gum. AUTOBAHN'S influence on post electronic productions is still relevant today. I for one as a musician became fascinated with the synthesizer and the way these German masters used them. Painfully and meticulously layering tracks, sounds and rhythms one by one without the aid of digital multi tracking and bouncing we have today. Nobody had done what these guys did. Today it might seem like an unimportant and simple production but back then it was truly groundbreaking and a beacon of light for other groups and musicians to follow. I totally understand the newer generation not giving it is credit due. Today all the sounds on this album are sampled and it is extremely easy to put together a production similar to this but to truly appreciate it..you had to be in the 70's and hear it for the first time..you had to be there.
