3 stars Very folk music driven without the rock side of Jethro Tull. Very melodic. I hold this album as way closer to the Tull that we all knew and loved before the changes that 1979 brought on. I would like to have seen this as a Tull album following "Heavy Horses" even without its Rock component. It is an intelligent work that steers away from conventional pop folk or pop music. Those with a penchant for folk music will love this wheras those with a penchant for the harder side of Rock may not. It's soft, it's pleasant and it's intelligent. Is it prog music? I don't really know about that however it is Anderson. There are no towering numbers here but there are no crevices either. I have to give this album 3 stars as it isn't something that I would call essential however there is nothing unpleasant about it at all - far from it in fact.
