3 stars Well, recentlly I listened to this album and Landberk's Indian Summmer last week. Timeloss is an interesting recording. Musically its provincial in scope, the atmosphere is melancholy yet beautiful, and the lyrics are somewhat immature.

The highlights on this album are "Hypnotique" and "Tea." The former song is sung in English but buils up to a muscial onslaught on intruments which work really well together. Its one of the few highlights of the album. "Tea" is a song spoken in the Petronella Nettermalm's mother tongue, Swedish. Its stunning. Even though I do not understand what she is singing about, she seems more confident with her vocals in Swedish than in English. Its more mature, thus more appealing. Moreover, her lyrics in English are somewhat predictable; one can listen to a song on here and fill in the lines before she sings them, its quite obvious. The last track, "Quits" was a massive let down. It seems they included this sing on the album to produce a single. Its very predictable, too protracted, and the presence of brass intruments provides more damage than good.

Overall, the Scndanavian prog scene has a lot to offer, I would advise you to look into Lanberk, Morte Macabre, Overhead and Back Bonzo for a more consistent offering of Scandanavian prog.
