5 stars I see Close to the Edge as one of the most influental records made in the 70's. And it's not only me. Everything on this album is perfectly sophisticated and super clear. This is just a fact.

All the voices, all the guitar parts or bass licks are cultivated and precisely functional. There are no deaf places or something like that, everything is made with the best possible music taste and feeling. The vocal polyphony has a special place there, in the same way as the guitars and basses are intertwined into a great complex.

The title song 'Close to the Edge' is simply the best what can progressive music scene give to you and to everybody on this Earth. Masterpiece of the masterpieces!
