3 stars Along with 'Guitars', 'Voyager' is an album unappreciated and unrecognized in the progressive field. And I can understand why. In general, no appeal to the ear of the progressive public. I consider good music products, with ups and downs, but with his unique guitar as protagonist.

Voyager focuses on Celtic music folk-rock context or even New Age. It contains six covers, mostly traditional Celtic music, imbued with the personal touch of Oldfield. For Celtic pride is not as 'Irish Heartbeat' by Van Morrison. I think it is halfway and that's where it fails for the follower of that style.

The transcendent song of this album is Mont St. Michel, which is the only truly progressive and composed by Oldfield. He deserves to be among the outstanding works of this masterful artist. The Hero and The Voyager, are other good compositions brings Mike here.

Between 3 and 3,5 stars
