1 stars 20 years after their demise, guitarist Enzo Vita forms a band and calls it once again Il Rovescio Della Medaglia. He shouldn't have. This is an utterly pointless attempt at highly boring, straightforward stadium-rock. It's clearly meant for the unadventurous, middle-of- the-road rock audience. It reminds us of the bad "Banco" period. Don't bother getting this. Even completists may be insulted by this offering.

1 stars This album was recorded in 1993 but only released in 99. The band had even released another vinyl album in 1988 called Giudizio Avrai, but it was never released in the CD format and remains therefore practicably inaccessible.

Now, about Vitae.

Let's be clear: it has nothing to do with their heavy-rock of their debuts or the great and beautifully symphonic Contaminazione.

This album is a long and not so pleasant journey in the world of some AOR moods for the majority of the songs. I really wonder why such a reuinion took place. It can't really please the old fans, and to be honest, the poor quality of the songs could hardly bring any new ones to their database.

I'm scratching my head heavily to find only one good song on this album. At least they haven't revert to the electro pop like some other Italian prog giants (Banco and PFM for example only to name two of them).

This is Italian rock music. Period. This can't be appealing to progheads (or good music lovers to be honest). Only one member persists from their best days and it is not enough to bring the good music back, I'm afraid.

It is not as bad as the Banco stuff of the eighties (which is quite challenging though) but we are not far away. Not prog at all, this work is best avoided. If you want the list of poor numbers, you might as well get the full track list of songs featured. One star.
