2 stars A rip-off, completely. I brought the album thinking that it was gonna be a very good early Gong live recording. Unfortunatly it's not :( If you look closely at the timing for the album 22:36 and five of the song are 0:45 sec or less. In the end, you have four song that are o.k. but a little bit too experimantal for my taste. Don't spend your money on this, only for completionists of the Gong huge discography.

5 stars This is actually a very limited edition cd (500 copies) with music from gong, recorded live 1971.This was many people's vinyl introduction to the band and what an introduction it is. The perfect distillation of what it was to experience Gong in full flow in the late '60's and early '70's and even more. A Gong recording I never tire of and so little known by younger Gongsters due to the highly collectable nature and Ł150 price tag of a complete original Glastonbury Fayre triple LP set if you can find a copy. Hear it and be transformed.

4 stars OK, so its not perfect ... but it is a little gem, if only for 3 tracks. The opener, "Its only the world said the girl" (which by the way was the opening number of the Melkweg encore 2006) is a 5 star surprise, sadly mashed by a power cut at only 3.48 mins in. You get the feeling that it would have gone on a long time. Great opener. The other 2 tracks that get me to play this regularly are 'Divine Mother' & 'Bambolay'.

4 stars because ...

This is Gong playing that hectic, clashing, free form, trucculent stuff that we love. This album is not polished, and there is better Gong, but I love it as it is

what is prog? is it a frog?
