2 stars This EP is a short version of their debut album. It only holds one unpublished track : "Instant Messenger". This track holds everything you need about Muse : a weird intro, nice melody, good vocal harmonies, a heavy passage and a noisy and irritating portion. All of this in 3'30". In one word : Muse.

There is an alternate version of "Muscle Museum" called "2". The least that I can say is that it could have remained unreleased in this format. Drums sound absolutely awful. Like if Dominic was hurting a saucepan. Avoid it by all means.

Some of the album tracks are pretty decent. The original "Muscle Museum" of course as well as "Uno". While "Unintended" highlights their soft side and "Sober" their heavy one.

This EP, while displaying most of Muse's facet is a collector item. Two stars.

3 stars EPs, EPs, EPs, albums?

Muse's third EP was released at the same year as their debut album, however slightly after. It features 6 songs, 4 of which are included on the debut album, Showbiz, one is a slightly different version of Muscle Museum, also on the EP AND Showbiz, and one unreleased single. Sadly, this EP is one that Muse could have done without just fine...

Some songs on this EP are good, like Unintended, Uno, and Sober, but are not tracks that justify the purchase of this EP. This EP should only be bought by Muse collectors, but the tracks are good enough to raise the bar to a 3, so 3/5.
