3 stars 3,5 stars really!!!

Forever Einstein is one of the most original bands on the Cuneiform roster, but also one of the more impenetrable, but if I was to recommend the newbie an album of theirs, this might be the one. One of the more accessible and happier moods, but Forever Einstein always appear humorous especially with their silly track titles (my fave on this album must be The Girl With The Maple Chest and Walnut Drawers, lol), and the least we can say is that these guys do not seem to take themselves as seriously as one might fear from listening to their music.

Yes, these guys develop a sort of Avant-prog close to RIO, but it is laced in with so many outside influences that it never gets tedious and actually does not leave you a moment of peace or rest if you care enough to get interested in their music. Among my favourite tracks are Maniacs From The Fourth dimension and Curly, Get The Ladder (I was a bit disappointed not to find a mention of Larry and Moe in other tracks), the former being frankly jazzy with Vrtacek virtually flawless on his Telecaster (not exactly my idea of a reference prog electric guitar but nonetheless.), but one of the real feat of this album is undoubtedly on how they manage to sound so different and develop so many moods with just the basic guitar-bass-drum trio.

Easily their better album, IMHO!

4 stars Very funny album... I'm serious... Forever Einstein third album is a kind of strange mixture between strong avant garde compositions and really funny passages flirting with other rock styles and even jazz, with a remarkable emphasys on the guitar work of Mr. Charles Vrtacek.

Refreshing, techically well done and with lots of humor in the music and the titles of every song. Some of my favourites (for title and music): The Girl With The Flame Maple Chest (And Black Walnut Drawers), Oh Lord, Please Bless The Rocket House And All Those Who Live Inside The Rocket House, Curly, Get The Ladder!, The Boat Attacked By Toy Pirates On Real Water Bad Weather (Changed Our Plans) and Stand Back, You Bloated Museum Of Treachery!. All of that songs are full of sudden rhythmical changes, creative arrangements and a constant sense of trying to be funny but keeping a total control of the music.

Every composition belongs to Mr. Vrtacek who -once again- shows his talent and his quality of one of the best musicians of the RIO genre on these days...
