1 stars Throw this one on the same pile you threw Love Beach, Abacab, and Under Wraps. The Thirteen Dream: The Spirit of 84' is a real stinker.

At this point in their existence, and during yet another attempt at former glory, Spirit became their own worst cover band. It was unwise to choose reworking their very own classic songs in such a depressing fashion over creating something new and exciting, a feat they had accomplished so many times before. Yes, all the original members are present yet the old sardonic magic is nowhere to be found.

It is such a shame to see such brilliant musicians reduced to this level of blandness, and it hurts to hear great tunes like this done in such torturous ways. If you are an old fan of this once great band you will flee covering your ears when this waste of plastic jumps out at you. You will also refuse to believe it is the same band you loved so much way back when.but it is. Sad.
