3 stars This album showcases Envy's hardcore side. They slowly evolved into a unique post-rock band rooted in hardcore, and you can hear the delay-effected guitars and soft parts implemented here and there; they work quite nicely with the band's extremely emotional music. Envy already had their own sound here - I can't think of any other hardcore band who had such raw emotion and atmosphere - and they have just continued to progress. This is definitely a solid record, but most (here especially) will prefer the more dynamic, mature, and well-produced albums that came out after this one.
