4 stars Manana is a album which i hear the first 8 songs are from live in concert[which i dont have yet],but dont let this put you off as it has the john peel session from 8/5/73 and is a good session to,anyway first of we start with a bloke introducing the band [which his voice sounds dated but its not a bad thing] and the crowd cheer and of starts ladies mimikry[vive la trance]which is a good version and must be heard and some nice sax work in this which is nice to hear and the crowd cheer and clap at end, kanaan starts as it should and it does sound not so loud or raw as the version of phallus dei but sounds good so its a good version and must be heard i think it could of been a bit more raw but its a good version renate is in good form to and the guitar sounds good to and ends with a cheer and clap, dem guten, schonen, wahren starts good and sounds like the original although the vocals are better i think here in bits and the guitar sounds good and duul sound just like they should here and end brilliantly with cheers and clapping, green bubble rain coated man[wolf city] starts good with renate in good form again and the band also in good form [as with other songs to] and its makes this one of the best versions ive heard or actually the best as renate gives it feeling and guitar sounds good here for duul to [not best guitarists in the world but still ok] ends with clapping, manana[vive la trance]starts good and has good vocals and the band sound good again with the guitar sounding good and goes on for a bit which is good and gets u into it and then it ends with clapping and cheers, trap starts good again and its a good version and nice to hear dull enjoying there selves which they are here and with all of it to everything here sounds good for duul [there not best musicians in the world but who is]ends in cheers and clapping, then we have marilyn monroe memorial drums which is just drums which is ok but it would of been better with a bit of other stuff with this to and this was recorded for thetanz der lemminge session in 1971 it does sound quite ok actually when it gets going and i think peter leopold sounds good here to [i,m not sure if another drummer is here to playing along to but if so its danny fichelscher],chewing gum telegram [alternative mix]also recorded for tanz der lemminge session in 1971 starts trippy and sounds good to me with all kind of weird stuff with the guitar and other stuff to then it gets going and really easy to know which song it is a really good version to,and now the john peel session which is the high light of this album but unfortunatly no introduction by john peel as his voice was lovedbut anyway green bubble rain coated man is a really good version and the best version ive heard i think renate is in good form here and the band here sound good to,manana starts good and is a better version than other one on this album well for me and i think i am right here as this version is very good and nice to hear i really like this alot i just will have to hear this more but ends with fading out which is a shame but still good, dem guten, schonen, wahren starts very good and good to hear and the whole band sound good to and a bit trippy to which is always good to hear [with me] this is very trippy sounding i think but for some tripping it might be to heavy kind of but hey nothing wrong with that, trap starts just like the original and good to and renate here is better in form than other version on this album and the band are to and ends the album brillantly which is a good liten and worth having but if youve got the live in concert album you might e put of but get this if you havent got the john peel session by dull 11 as its worth having just for that i,m not sure if duul recorded more songs with peel [i hope so] but this is complete bbc recordings after all,get this if you want complete the duul albums but this is released on strange fruit record company which to me is a nice name to release a amon duul 11 album on after all,i give it a 4 star but i havent the live in concert album yet so if i had that it might be a 3 but still a 4 star for now.as it sounds good and good recording to for the time.
