5 stars The Rhapsody(of Fire)'s first live release was recorded at a concert at the Metropolis in Montreal, Canada, in 2005's summer. The Italian band chose many of its classical songs, which brought fame over the years, to be included in this live performance. I depict this album as an overview of the style adopted by the band since their first songs, as it takes its listeners through all stages of magical sounds, from mad and powerful guitar solos to majestic symphonic keys, in a blend of classical, progressive rock and power metal music, making them wish they were there in the insane crowd shouting for more. (Although in my opinion there are much better songs from previous years, as The Dark Tower or Abyss, Rage of the Winter, Land of the Immortals and others, which were not included in the performance held by Rhapsody during Manowar's tour.) I should therefore rate the album as an excellent addition to any prog music collection , but owing to the fact that i have been a great Rhapsody fan ever since the first listening, i am to give this album maximum rating. I consider the band original, unique for its brillant and amazing progressive metal fused with lyrics describing fantasy stories, which should not be underestimated. The limited edition includes a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes-material and also the complete album in 5.1 surround sound.
