2 stars This compilation is basically everything Bowie recorded for the label Deram. This includes his entire debut album, plus a handful of singles and B-sides. The debut includes some interesting tracks, but not many, and I have reviewed them elsewhere. The singles include very little of interest. 'The Laughing Gnome' is a fun novelty song. 'London Boys' is a decent ballad. The remix of 'Sell Me a Coat' is an improvement on the original. The original version of 'Space Oddity' is interesting, and has a very different atmosphere to the finished product. This will not interest the casual fan, but will be a good addition to the collection of a collector. 2 stars.
