2 stars This pains me.......... but here I go.

The debut album from this Italian band is a fractured mixed bag, to say at least. It contains mostly everything under this sun. Most of this is something I am not pleased to share this planet with. Funky punk pop in the same vein as Inxs is among these things. Unfortunate, this album contains enough Inxs inspired stuff to make me cringe. The rest of this album has plenty of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Pink Floyd inspired quirkiness. I can live with this, though.

The most annoying thing is that the bass and drums is pushed to the front of the mix on most of the tracks. The vocals plays a secondary role and the guitars too have problems getting through the wall of drums and bass. Even on the best track on the album, Maoam, is the drums drowning out the melody. It is a pity because Maoam is a quirky, good track.

There are some good tracks on this album. The vocals too are good and the guitarist does a good job too. But I have listed my gripes above and they outweigh the positives, I am afraid. But I am not giving up on this band.
