3 stars A novel developer of Kraut-Space Rock.

Although the beginning of the first track "Monszun" sounds like a copy of Pink Floyd's album Wish You Were Here to me, but there's no problem in the matter ... their whole album is full of originality and eccentricity, which can be just upon the boundaries of Space Rock or Krautrock. Often we tend to avert our eyes and ears if it's tough to classify an artist strictly, but TÜNDÉRGROUND have an undoubted attraction in their uneasily-categorized musical style.

Sometimes the musical style tinged with Space Rock or Krautrock colour is likely to get danceable and techno-pop-ish, but TÜNDÉRGROUND can be just on the borderline between Kraut-ish Space Rock and Techno Pop I always feel. Delightfully rhythmic parts can remind me something of similar ones by a Japanese Krautrock outfit Omoide Hatoba (of course, TÜNDÉRGROUND can be more rigidly serious than Omoide Hatoba, a Kraut flexibility). And the point that they can much effectively induce various instruments including strings, horns, and percussion, should be absolutely similar to other progressive rock bands. Impressive are especially keen violin sounds and dry flute ones. Moreover, the shortest song "About Istambul" is the masterpiece for me ... an Oriental-moody and swift-tempo percussive song with danceable (but persistently perverse) shifts, a terrific stuff.

In near future, progressive outfits with such an incredible Electronic-kraut-Space style may increase gradually methinks?
