3 stars With 'Beyond The 4th Door' ETERNAL TAPESTRY established the collaboration with the wellknown Thrill Jockey label. The album comes withs five songs showcasing enormous jamming potential - the twin guitar interaction ranks foremost here, synths and saxophone take a backseat overall. Basically one can follow relaxed slow-paced jams, which probably are able to augment your depressive mood. So this is ambivalent. When you're able to get involved with after some time this will totally wrap you up with shoegaze respectively ambient tendency.

Visualised I can imagine some thursty people plodding along through a sandstorm while searching for a waterhole. Nick Bindeman's and Dewey Mahood's plaintive guitars, a deep bass provided by Krag Likins, Jed Bindeman's carefully accentuated drums - this sounds like coming from deep in the desert somehow. Galactic Derelict marks an exception featuring some stoner rock approach, here they come out of hiding, in comparison even somewhat outraged if you will.

The impressive melancholic silky guitar work is the album's highlight. I assume you're in a good temper when listening to this sort of heavily loaded desert space rock. On this occasion you might sense a revelation. 'Beyond The 4th Door' is a nice album, however this sounds a bit single-tracked overall what counts as a little disadvantage for me - 3.5 stars finally.
