4 stars A downright stunning free album worth any music fan's attention, Cinematique's debut is a lush, dense atmospheric effort that brings to mind Sigur Ros and other post-rock bands that really play around with soundscapes.

And that's the true reason this album is great, the denseness of it. If this were stripped down and made an ambient release, I'd still like it! That's how awesome the atmosphere of this album is.

Of course, the songs are great too and each track just sort of easily works it's way into the next (it's not a gapless transition, but smooth nonetheless) making the product a well put together release. A real highlight is the closer which has this effect on your ears that I'll leave for you to experience, it really sort of surprised me but then it totally eargasmed me. Just awesome.

Free on bandcamp, the band would appreciate it if you'd check it out. It's a really cool album.
