2 stars Having in mind how good and versatile the original music of this Russian band is, this cover album is really very unnecessary. The problem is not that the songs are neither prog in their originals, nor are they interpreted in a prog manner by Extrovert. The fact that all of them are really really well-known songs that have been covered million times before is also not the greatest burden here. But when you do so - when you are doing a cover album full of hard rock hymns - you better... no... you are OBLIGED to do them as differently as possible. Or at least a little different. I have been always seeing the point of doing a cover in the effort to add something new, something fresh, something just yours to the composition, to the feeling and to the meaning of the song. None of this is to be found on this album. These are just 13 mot à mot re-recorded famous songs with perhaps a better studio quality and a bit more modern equipment. This is pointless, really. I was quite unpleasantly surprised, cause I like their original material quite a lot and was expecting something way better.

Although it is really professionally played and good sounding, for me one star is too much. Especially when I know what the band is capable of. Two stars just because it's not trash, musically.
