3 stars Moto Armonico (Harmonic Motion in english) is for sure one of the lesser known prog metal bands from Italy in last years. Two albums in their pocket so far with the second one Down to Timavo from 2014 being the best from the two. While their first album had a female vocalist, who was pretty much ok most of the time, on the follow up on vocal duties is comming Luca Adami, who also done an ok job all the way being is same direction with LaBrie manner of singing.

The arrangements are complex enough to please any prog metal fan, lush keyboards passages, technical elements are present but combined with melodic lines, all pretty much good from start to finish. The album is well balanced from , from more up tempo to more laid back moments, for sure a good prog metal release, at least in italian prog metal scene.

I think worth investigated, similar with Empty Tremor , Atto IV also prog metal bands from Italy or Dream Theater maybe Fates Warning in places among others
