3 stars Virtual Symmetry , a little known italian prog metal band with the debut released in 2016 named Mesage from eternity, really caught my attention, this is well played and composed prog metal, with blistering musicianship, and highly technical arrangements, but keeping the melodic lines aswell. The band has as invited guest the famous Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater fame on Program Error (We Are The Virus), excellent tune with sets the standard for entire album. The music is clearly influenced by masters Dream Theater and maybe in places similer with another great italian prog metal band Empty Tremor, but Virtual Symmetry really pull some intresting passages that every prog metal fan will love. All pieces stands as great, the ending 23 minute title track Message From Eternity is another worthy track, musicianship simply smokes and the rhythm section done a solid job. All in all this is definetly a good debut that worth to be investigated, I like it from start to finish. Even influences are obvious, the band really made an intresting little prog metal release. 3.5 stars for sure.
