3 stars This is the fronting single extracted from the smashing 1975 album "Blow By Blow", where Jeff Beck took his notorious mid-to-late seventies turn to a very particular jazz-fusion style.

An absolute classic in Beck's repertoire, even when coming from Stevie Wonder soul & pen, the cover version of Cause We've Ended As Lovers showcases every drop of melodic juice that the man had to offer (a whole lot indeed), and reveals a rather sparse presence of the band, leaving behind the electric feedback charged monster we used to know in earlier days.

Flipping sides, we just encounter with the more McCartney's than Lennon's Beatle classic She's A Woman, in a fine rendition that preserves melody, refreshing rythm & harmony instead.
