PROG REVIEWER
3 stars Epilogue from UK is a forgotten and obscure neo prog with one album in their pockets named simply Hide, released in 1994 at Cyclops. This band and album is unfairly unnoticed in neo prog circles, it contains some very beautiful well crafted pieces where the instrumental parts are really strong, the voice is only ok. The arrangements are more then decent where the clean guitar sound and aswell the keybords are melted in a very pleasent way with memorable parts. There are some really fascinating pieces here like In The City a 12 min pure neo prog delight, every instrument works in perfect unit and the result is great, one of the better neo prog pieces from mid '90s to me, another highlight is No Sign Of Life or The flame+ I forgott the opening track. All pieces, even thos more laid back are quite intricate and complicated with a lot to offer, very nice and entertaing album. To me this band was a nice dicovery, I mean I know this album for years but only in past few months I gave them a fair credit and I'm glad I know this album. Similar in sound and in manner of composing with let's say Like Wendy, Sinister Street, Grace (one of the members apear on one Grace album), Final Confflict and even Marillion in places. 3.5 stars for sure, worth to be discovered, even is totaly unkown.
