4 stars "Obedience" therefore launches this EP with the duration of a conventional CD with the Gilmourian sound and the voice of Kenza for a melancholic ballad with well-delivered spleen; rise of the guitars and the voice, a little gravelly at times like Chrissie HYNDE, already hypnotic title, reverberated notes and imposing solo. "The Maze" for the title of the album with prog-rock, verses, chorus and strong instrumental spaces with clean drums and nervous riff, sparkling solo break, synth then flute and again this hard riff; the intro to THE GATHERING even if Anneke is not on it, country touch and cozy, captivating atmosphere; title just available on platforms with Kenza on vocals.

"First Flight" and its soaring intro giving way to a Gathering sound from the "Nightime Birds" period, powerful sound with its double pedal and some progressive digressions bordering on psychedelic; a musical maelstrom and a remarkable voice, the most beautiful track of the EP. "The Place Where I'm Supposed To Be" starts with an Arabic atmosphere, spleen, room for introspection, a long crescendo again to magnify the symphonic style; a piece with an unstoppable riff married to a warm and captivating voice, a moment of Floydian musical pleasure, intense rock and vibrant sounds, the overwhelming end with just the right notes placed where they need to be.

"Anna" for the melancholy ballad with Anneke, not yet but you might think so, a jazzy tune with typical drums and country solo sliding like a waterfall. "The Maze" to end with Anneke for a remake, the opportunity to realize a familiar tune around the 5 minute mark and that we no longer have to worry that a certain Valérie could have sung; in short, a piece with everything you need and without getting bored, what more could you ask for!

CELESTIAL BURST therefore offers atmospheric progressive rock tinged with metal notes.(4.5)
