2 stars We have a bit of a descrepancy in the lineup listing on this disc. The lineup above refers to a 2nd Doldinger Jubilee release done ' 75 that I have yet to get. This disc features a lineup consisting of the PASSPORT classic team (Klaus, Curt, Kristian and Wolfgang) along with Brian Auger (keyboards), Pete York (drums & perc.), Johnny Griffin (ten. sax) and Volker Kreigel (guitar). Recorded live in Dusseldorf by the Rolling Stones mobile unit, you'd think PASSPORT fronting a big combo like this would be pretty impressive. Well, it's really hit and miss. The sci-fi sounds of the classic PASSPORT jarringly clash with Brian's muzack jazz styles. One minute you're in the stratosphere, next you're in a L.A. lounge. Not to knock Brian Auger, a terrific keyboard player, but his style just doesn't quite mix here. That aside, the performances are still rock solid with some great moments.

3 stars At most three stars! The reviewer below is right to point out the problem of the line-up mentioned here since it is the one from the 75 Jubilee concert! Although he (the reviewer) might be slightly harsh with his rating , I must agree that this album is a patchy effort and the group might be a bit under-rehearsed. This album contains one some of the better tracks of their early albums but strangely they will not include the track Compared To What that Brian Auger's Oblivion Express had done so well! Funnily enough , it will be played for the second Jubilee concert with Philippe Catherine (great Belgian Jazz-rock guitarist that Focus fans know as Akkerman's replacement) . Passport also did a few standards that allowed them a little more freedom and this is why the presence of Rock Me Baby.

For confirmed fans only!
