2 stars Another greatest hits album from Vangelis/or best of.....Better selections on this boxset but still I have to ask the question why the frequency of compilations. Commercial success was already there and yet the insistency of record labels pushing out continual compilations to rake in the big bucks was becoming a joke already. Songs are good, take your pick from 14 of them. I still question why but in the interest of spinning the disc occassionally and give an honest review this does not fair better than two stars.

4 stars If I speak abou Vangelis I speak about one of my preferred artists. That in my opinion is also one of my preferred Prog soloists.

This 'Greatest Hits' is produced by RCA/ BMG and it is extremely good. All the songs are great and I think that this compilation is more than a compilation. If you are newbie probably this compilation is extreme good for RCA's years introduction.

The style is from Space Music to POP, from Electronic Prog to Symphonic Prog and, in my opinion, with great knowledge and mastery of music. With great arrangements (invasive only where needed) and style of execution.

In definitive this compilation is not proper a useless compilation and if Vangelis please you I think that 'Greatest Hits' is a good purchase.
