2 stars Well, I just realized this prolific band named Thee Oh Sees (with its multiple name changes) is featured here in Progarchives, and yeah, it makes sense since they have several psych albums and some even related with prog. But despite having so much music released, seems they are barely known in this site, judging by the few reviews they have so far.

I decided to write a few words about this strange release, which is a split from Thee Oh Sees with a musician named Paul Cary, in order to put the band on radar, but also, because of the album cover, which will surely be "recognized" by some readers and visitors here. Though I am not quite sure if it was a kind of tribute or a joke, the cover is, of course, a copy of Rush's debut album.

And well, unfortunately the power of that iconic Canadian band has nothing to do with this release, which is in fact, an average and just for fans split, with two songs performed by Oh Sees on their softest form, and two by Cary, whose influences go clearly more in the vein of folk and country.

That's it, haha, not a lot to say about this, but I assure you there are plently of interesting and quite amazing albums from this band led by crazy and talented mastermind John Dwyer, so go and listen to them.
